Life At Home was initially established in 2016 in the Ottawa area. It is family owned and operated and has grown exponentially in the past couple years as more and more Seniors make the shift to staying at home or complimenting their retirement living with valuable 1 on 1 care. The Life At Home team strives to find personalized solutions for individuals requiring support and believes in empowering them to partake in the development of their customized care plans.

Dementia
Dementia is an umbrella term for loss of memory and other thinking abilities severe enough to interfere with daily life. Click on the “Dementia Calculator” link on our resources page to find out if you or a loved one is at risk for developing Dementia.
Our highly trained staff are knowledgeable and certified in Dementia care and undergo additional training through Life At Home and The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County. They understand the importance of exercising patience and understanding when dealing with our Dementia clients and many are educated in GPA, Therapeutic-Fibbing, and Approach Strategies to enhance their understanding and skills. We provide holistic support and care for those living with Parkinson’s, including assistance with daily exercises as well as support with speech therapy and activities of daily living.

Life At Home can provide dignified support with all activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, feeding support, toileting, incontinence care, and transferring and positioning. We offer all of our services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Human interaction is essential to one’s mental health and our caregivers will provide the highest level of companionship and engagement through a variety of activities.
At times managing and even remembering to take one’s medication can be a challenge. We can work closely with your Pharmacist to ensure your medication is organized.
